This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond. -Rumi

I spent some time yesterday speaking to a potential client about the value of forgiveness in our lives. After we hung up he sent me a link to an article about the consequences and contagiousness of blaming others. No doubt the article has meaning for everyone. I especially like the idea presented at the end about throwing ‘failure parties’ so folks can gather together, discuss their mistakes, and learn from them. Read the article, and then share it with managers and leaders in your work place.
