To Celebrate or Not to Celebrate; is that really in question?

man w megaphoneThe death of Osama Bin Laden has caused mixed reactions among us.  Some people are   celebrating. I believe that in America we are long overdue for some incident to bring us together in joy, and folks will grab at an event like this and make it a cause.

Bin Laden’s demise may be a political victory.  But since politics is not my game, I am devoid of any feelings of peace or joy regarding the situation. The quote below, by Martin Luther King, Jr.,  resonates with me and perfectly reflects how I feel.  No way could I say it better in my own words.

king“I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”

How to Change Your Beliefs

In other words, when you have an expectation, you’ve got a dominant thought going on, and Law of Attraction is going to deliver that to you again, and again and again. And you say “The reason that I believe this, is because it is true.” And we say, the reason that you believe it, is because you’ve practiced the thought. All that a belief is, is a thought that you keep practicing.” -Abraham
